Heber Martin "Mart" Quinney, III
Guyton - Heber Martin "Mart" Quinney, III, 55,
passed away peacefully, Friday, September 29, 2006 at
Memorial Medical Center following a short illness. He
was preceded in death by his father, Heber Martin
Quinney, Jr.
Mart was a member of Port Wentworth First Baptist Church
and played on the church softball team for many years.
He graduated from Groves High School in 1969. Mart was
employed by Metalcrafts for many years before becoming a
partner in Industrial Metalworks, INC. in 1987. Mart
will be remembered by all who knew him for his quick wit
and love for all people.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Roberts Quinney of
Guyton; his mother, Ernestine Quinney of Port Wentworth;
son, Brian Quinney (Lisa) of Guyton; daughter, Becky
Quinney of Asheville, NC; step-son, Mark Miller (Bambi)
of Stilson; step-daughter, Mandi Wells (Jason) of
Guyton; grandchildren, Zachary and Colby Quinney, Conner
Quinney, Trevor and Aubrey Miller, Olivia Wells, and
grand god daughter, Katie Mancill; sister, Delores Smith
(Ronnie) of Richmond, VA; brothers, Gary Quinney
(Sherry) or Richmond Hill, Michael Quinney (Adele) of
Port Wentworth, Andy Quinney (Lora Lee) of Garden City;
and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 2
at Port Wentworth First Baptist Church with Rev. Gary
Quinney and Rev. Sam Self officiating.
Interment was in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Mr. Ray Morris
Mr. Ray Morris, 52, died Thursday, September 28, 2006,
at his home.
Born in Baxley, Mr. Morris had lived in Chatham County
for 50 years. He was a carpenter who enjoyed
woodworking. He also enjoyed fishing, watching races,
and the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include his son, Chad Morris of Savannah;
sister, Kathy Harvey of Pooler; brother, Ricky Morris,
Sr. of Rincon; sister-in-law, Linda Morris of Blitchton;
and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 PM on Monday, October 2
in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial followed at
Powers Baptist Church in Eden.

Mr. Julian “Jay” M. Glenn
Mr. Julian “Jay” M. Glenn departed this life on
Sunday, September 23, 2006.
Julian was born in Washington, D.C. on June 15, 1978, to
Thomas and Brenda Glenn. He attended Gateway Christian
School in Virginia Beach, VA and later attended Dudley
High School in Greensboro, NC. He later attended Alfred
E. Beach High School in Savannah where he received his
diploma. He furthered his education by attending AT
& T University in Greensboro, NC. Julian was
employed by UPS for 12 years and he also worked at
United Distributors in Savannah. He was preceded in
death by his brother, Travis Glenn and his wife, Mioshi
Glenn.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Brenda Glenn
of Pooler; father, Thomas Glenn of Greensboro; oldest
brother, Phoenix Q. and Cynthia Miller of Virginia
Beach; oldest sister, Serlisa A. and Sheldon Wright of
Pooler; sister, Denise A. Miller of Washington, D.C.;
younger brother, Patrick Glenn of Greensboro;
great-aunt, Elsie and Earl Holley of Norfolk, VA;
uncles, Larry and Letrice Artis of Fort Washington, MA,
Rev. Gary and Rose Wiggins of Virginia Beach, Mark Glenn
of Greensboro, Lee and Kathy Wiggins of Norfolk, Glenn,
R.B., Vernon, and Leroy Glenn, all of Norristown, PA;
great-uncle, Jerry Artis; aunts, Angela and Charlie
Cornegay of Norfolk, Jeanette and Leonard McGee of
Greensboro, Betty and Donald Whitehead of Greensboro,
and Dora Hallmark of Washington, D.C.; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 PM on Saturday,
September 30 in the chapel of the funeral home.
Interment followed at Bonaventure Cemetery.

Mr. Harry Lee Teaster, Sr.
Mr. Harry Lee Teaster, Sr., 70, passed away.
Mr. Teaster was a native of Banner Elk, North Carolina,
and had lived in Guyton for a short period of time. He
was a retired police officer, a member of the Police
Officers Union, a member of V.F.W. Post 2619, and a
veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US
Marine Corp.
Survivors include his two sons, Tommy Teaster of Guyton
and Harry Lee Teaster, Jr. of New Jersey; six
grandchildren, Brandon, Brielle, Michelle, Thomas,
Madison, and Christopher.
Memorial services were held on Monday, October 2 at 11
AM from the Ben Wages Chapel of Riggs Funeral Home. Rev.
Chris Roberson officiated. Burial was held privately.
Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton, Georgia, was in charge of
all arrangements.
