Regarding The Ride For Jimmy....
Dear Editor,
It is easy to send a “Thank You” note to someone who has done an act
of kindness to you, but how do you thank hundreds of people? We
appreciate you, the editors of The Spirit, for allowing us the means
of conveying our thanks on behalf of Jimmy Morris.
So many people have expressed their care, concern and love for Jimmy
since his accident. To those of you who helped with his rescue, the
emergency medical personnel, the police departments and the emergency
room doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital whose actions saved his
life... THANK YOU! To all those who have visited, called, sent cards
and kept Jimmy in your prayers ... THANK YOU! A THANK YOU also goes
to the Trauma Unit, Hospital and Heritage Park Rehabilitation
personnel for their amazing, professional care they have given to and
are giving Jimmy.
A special THANK YOU goes to Mike Weldron, Brian Love and Wayne Guhl
for putting together the “Just Helping Jimmy” benefit ride. There
were many people who worked very hard to make this “ride” a success.
THANK YOU to all who took part in the ride, the merchants and friends
who donated items for the raffle, the police departments for their
road assistance, the news media for its coverage, those who simply
donated the time and energy it takes to make a fundraiser successful.
The money raised will be used to help with Jimmy’s medical expenses.
Jimmy still has many months of rehabilitation ahead; please continue
to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

God Bless each of you,
Kim Smith, Kristi Morris,
Winnie Morris, Beth Jones
